Aims of the integrated program The program integrates the content of the two resources showing which HOTmaths topics, lessons, widgets, walkthroughs and HOTsheets can be used with the textbook topics. It is provided for the use of both teachers and students (and their parents). www.cambridge.edu.au/hotmaths

3. The HOTmaths menus allow you to select Essential Maths and the year level. You will then be offered a menu based on the structure of the textbook. You can navigate to the linked HOTmaths material without referring to the teaching program. www.cambridge.edu.au/hotmaths

4. How to use the integrated program… 1In the textbook, note the number of the chapter and section (i.e. lesson or subtopic) you are in and look for a HOTmaths icon indicating linked content. Textbook page

5. 2Open HOTmaths www.cambridge.edu.au/hotmaths and log in

6. then choose the chapter of the textbook (the topic) 3A new menu system will offer a choice of ‘COURSE’: choose Essential Maths AC and the year level

7. Then select the textbook lesson number (1.3 in our example) There are two HOTmaths lessons to go with this textbook lesson — choose A or B

8. The HOTmaths lesson which matches the textbook lesson will open Textbook page

9. 4Consult the Integrated Program (a PDF file on the website) to check for notes on the items to use.
