APICS Membership Update APICS ended 2015 with 45,591 members = a growth of 9.6%. Professional membership grew ~3% (N = 19,950) Academic membership grew ~8% (N = 580) Student Membership grew ~66% (N = 6,684) There are currently 230 student chapters associated with local universities/colleges. This number has remained fairly constant since 2013. APICS continues to work with chapters to help link students who are not currently associated with a chapter, with a chapter.

New targeted renewal email series were launched for student members that communicate why students should take the next steps to renew as a young professional. These messages congratulate the students on their recent graduation and inform of young professional benefits and dues. Improving Students Transition to Joining as Young Professional Members

Student Membership Benefits APICS student membership empowers students to experience a growing community of more than 8,000 other supply chain and operations management students. Benefits include: Networking with industry professionals Access to the career center Scholarship opportunities Access to online educational resources and services (including specific student-focused webinars and the student newsletter) Online access to APICS Magazine Save an additional $25 on each APICS CPIM exam

APICS Scholar Program APICS Scholars receive free a conference registration, a travel stipend and full hotel accommodations. The program is open to undergraduate and graduate students interested in the following careers: Business Logistics Operations management Supply chain management To participate, applicants must meet the following requirements: Current APICS student member Full-time student during the fall 2016 semester 18 years of age by September 1, 2016 The deadline to apply is June 26, 2016.
