Meeting Our Transport Challenges (MOTC) cont… $900 million for Delivering a Better Link between the East & West of Melbourne, including:  Monash-City Link-West Gate Corridor Upgrade  West Gate Bridge Strengthening  The East-West needs assessment $1.1 billion to improve safety across Victoria’s network including the provision of safer level crossings across Melbourne (i.e. grade separation of some level crossings).

10. Key Messages  Minimising congestion during construction phase. Looking for innovation to ensure delays to road users are minimised.  What is designed and built needs to be maintainable – from a cost and safety perspective. Obligations on all designers now.
