Adding s or es to Verbs Some verbs tell about action that is happening now. These verbs may have s or es added.

Adding s or es to Verbs Look at the subject part of the sentence to decide if s or es is needed. Ask: Is the subject part naming one or more than one?

Adding s or es to Verbs When one is doing the action, add s or es to the verb. When two or more are doing the action, do not add s or es to the verb.

Adding s or es to Verbs If the verb ends in s, ch, sh, x, or z, add es.
