4 Have you ever visited an art gallery, a museum or an exhibition? Where and when did you go? Why did you go there? What did you see there? Did you see someone like the organizer of the exhibition, the artist or the photographer there? Did you learn anything new by going? If so, please explain.

7 Step 1: taking notes to report on a visit You will listen to an art teacher talking, and then complete the notes about the information included in the report. Then you will use the information you gathered to report on a visit to an art exhibition.

13 Suppose you are at a photographic exhibition and you happen to see the photographer. Think about what questions you would like to ask him or her. You may discuss your questions in pairs.

14 Step 2: finding out technical information By interviewing an artist, you will practice how to find out technical information.

15 Where did you get the idea from? What did you do first? What did you do next? How did you get this effect? How long did it take you to finish your work? How did you decide what to call it? What do you think of it?

16 One acts as the artist and the other as the one who interviews the artist. Pair work: When you finish the interview, you should change roles.
