Sharks Did you know more people die from bee stings than shark attacks in one year!

Physical Characteristics Sharks have cartilage instead of bones. Most people don’t know that sharks can’t see. It takes 10-12 years till a Great White shark is mature.

Habitat Hammerhead sharks live on the continental shelves and warm waters. However Whale sharks live in open ocean and warm coastal waters. Grey reef sharks live in coral reefs.

Adaptations Hammerhead sharks have large eyes. The hammerhead sharks head helps it detect prey. The sharks fins help them swim.

Food Hammerhead sharks eat Octopus, Fish, and Squid. Grey reef sharks eat Fish, Squid, and Shrimp. Whale sharks eat plankton, krill, and crab.

Their Young Female Great Whites have a litter of 2-10 baby's. In fact it takes months till a Nurse sharks baby's hatch. Great White shark pups might grow 4 ½.

Interesting Facts Sharks can’t eat Moses fish because they are dangerous to sharks. The biggest shark ever was 22 feet long.
