The Task Design and build an inefficient mechanical “motor”. The motor should be capable of lifting a 1 kg mass to a height of 1 meter in as close to 10 seconds as possible.

The Design We used the idea of two wheels attached at their centers. The smaller wheel unrolls the counterweight string and drops a larger weight a shorter distance as the larger wheel rolls up and lifts a smaller weight a longer distance.
