The Introduction Cover the points listed Purpose and scope - first set up the background as to what the problem is that needs to be solved. The scope is what aspects are being addressed in your solution. Guidelines for the written report The executive summary comes before the table of contents (TOC), is not page numbered, and is not listed in the TOC. The Table of Contents starts on page i On page ii is the List of Figures On page iii is the List of Tables Each chapter starts on a new page.
