On 28 October 2009, the LAS Council of Arab Ministers of Transport called upon 22 Arab States to join and implement the UN Conventions, notably TIR, and to continue cooperation with the IRU. LAS Transport Ministers reiterated their call to join and implement global trade and transport facilitation instruments, notably the TIR Convention. IDB Supports IRU-AULT cooperation since 2011 IDB approved a Technical Assistance Grant to the AULT on 14 Feb. 2011. AULT and IDB signed the TA Grant Agreement in Jeddah on 13 June 2011.
