2. V.I. Surikov was born in Krasnoyarsk in 1848. His father was a simple worker, but also he came from the family of cossacks. In 1869-1875 Vasiliy lived in St. Petersburg and studied there in St. Petersburg’s Artist’s Academy.

3. Vasiliy Ivanovich is famous for his pictures. You can see them everywhere: in magazines, films, the main Russian museums. He was inspired by the Italian and Spanish artists as Velokses and Veroneze.
