Rules set by the class: “Student-centered classroom management suggests relinquishing hierarchal power structures in sharing control, which they claim will result in a more manageable classroom. One way teaches may share their control with their students is to elect student participation when generating the classroom rules “ (Garrett, 2008, Para 6).It is this promotion of student participation that gives them the sense of belonging.

4 Classroom Environment When looking at the different set for differentiated teaching the teacher must first learn a little bit it leased about the culture the student lives in our comes from. “Culturally responsive teachers learn from and respectfully relate to students culture backgrounds and traditions. This would begin with understanding one’s own culture, in recognizing “the role that culture has in school “ (Puckett, 2013). By understanding the culture the student and the teacher can relate by using creative ways to incorporate these cultures in order for the learning environment to allow for the student to be comfortable and creative in the learning process.
