4 Research Issues l Establish the Information system foundation by which globally distributed, collaborating engineers can design and develop world-class products quickly and cost-effectively. l Develop the framework in which global engineers can actively participate and proactively develop products. Specifically, the framework will provide the decision solutions to: u How should a company select partners to perform the constituent responsibilities of a business initiative? u What is a suitable methodology to analyze conflicts among engineers? u What is an appropriate mechanism for engineers to converge to an agreeable design?
