1878 – Frederic Remington at Yale 1879 – Frederic Remington and Eva Caten 1880 – Remington dropped out after 3 semesters to attend to his father who was dieing. 4 Beginning of Remington's Career
Remington began submitting sketches he drew to Harper's Weekly Information on Harper's Weekly. W.A. Rogers recreated his sketch of “Cowboys of Arizona” on the February 25, 1882 edition of Harper's Weekly March 28, Remington's sketch of “Ejecting an Oklahoma Boomer”. Remington's poor treatment from the publishers and artists. May-June Remington tour of the Apache Reservation and the depiction of the battle between Mile's forces and the Apache. 5 Remington's Rise to Fame
New style of art. Attends Art Student League in 1886 Dec-Mar Illustrations for Outing Magazine. On August 1886 – Remington creates collages of Indians called “Types from Arizona” April Remington's collages of “In the Lodges of the Blackfoot Indians” and “Sketches Among the Papagos”. When he returned to New York City he gained a reputation as one of the few artists in the city that had seen the Apache first hand. Recognition with Harper's Weekly Remington becomes a public figure in July Century Magazine series Sketches Among the Papagos of San Xavier by Frederic Remington
