Content and Extracurricular Requirements of Middle School Students There is not a lot of content from a Middle School Perspective in the Book, HOLES. One example of content is that reading is being taught at the camp. The big lesson or “content” that the Camp Green Lake Correction Facility is trying to achieve is “building character” as the warden says The extracurricular requirements that the clients at the Camp are to dig 5ft x 5ft holes in order to build character The “content” that goes along with this Camp that if the clients find anything they have to turn it into the Warden

Parental Involvement in Middle School Students Stanley's’ Parents are not very concerned with his life or school Stanley’s dad is an inventor and is more concerned with what he is doing in the field of invention than he is with how Stanley is doing in school His immediate family is not necessarily interested in disciplining, complimenting, or encouraging him through school Staff and Administrators at Camp Green Lake played more of a role as parents than his own…

Staff and Administrators Warden Walker, Mr. Sir and Mr. Pendanski are the three key staff and administrators at Camp Green Lake These three individuals take a non professional approach to teaching clients character Examples: They should be teaching the clients about life and not punishing them for their own benefit.
