2 NeSA Reading, Math and Science o The testing window closed on May 1. o We have preliminary embargoed raw scores. We will receive official scores in July. o Overall, the online testing structure went well and there were very few glitches. NeSA Writing o We have received preliminary embargoed scores. We will receive official scores in July. o SBPS teachers submitted appeals to NDE asking them to reconsider the scores of 26 of our students.

3 Bridges Building Support Training (May 11 & 12). Pia Hanson will work with elementary lead teachers and principals from each building to help develop leadership capacity and support for our year two of Bridges implementation. o What worked well this year and what we can improve for next year. o How can we more effectively support both new and veteran teachers? Bridges Leadership Institute (July 12–13 in Denver, Colorado). Our Instructional coaches from each elementary will attend this two day conference. o Explore ways to encourage the professional growth of teachers o Experience math practices in action o Reflect on math assessments and how to accurately report to families o Become familiar with MLC online resources that support administrators, teachers, and families o Network with colleagues from around the country

4 Dates: SBPS will have a 4 Week Program (Monday-Thursday) from June 1-25. Staff Time: 8:00-12:00 (All schools except Roosevelt) 8:00-3:00 w/30 minute duty free lunch (Roosevelt) Student Time: 8:30-11:30 (All schools except Roosevelt) 8:30-2:30 with lunch (Roosevelt) Transportation: We are planning to transport students going into grades 6-12 to and from BMS and SHS. The pick up and drop off locations will be each of the four elementary schools.
