To provide an effective solution for the collection of information on events To improve the quality of data collected To provide a single source of information on events which can be reused on University websites and other digital resources Need for a University events system...

Columba (previously) Rolled out to very few departments Event upload form was complex Public calendar website (displaying event information) needed a refresh No social media functionality, no way to tag events Consultation with current users and potential adopters of the system to find out: What was working and not Improvements and requirements

A better, more simple form Uptake has been much better than previously Rolling out the system in two stages: Users will be able to add information on the system straightaway public calendar site Working together with faculties and visitor attractions to help integrate Columba data on their websites by using xml feeds provided by the system Columba (now)
