4 What is cooperation? What do we mean by that word? “Getting along” [Not fighting] Working things out (when trouble comes) Finding a solution Letting someone go before you on a slide Sharing Turn-taking Working together toward one goal Exchanging ideas – putting them together to create something new Being responsive Being responsible – Respecting others For belonging to the community Willing member of group/ community Other thoughts we had… I was used to seeing cooperation a certain way – but there are also subtle ways that you don’t notice so much. Children sitting next to each other passing scissors/tape wordlessly. Being responsible for “educating” other members of the community on “cooperative” norms
