Teaching Assistant, Technology & Student Support Level 2a, Grade 4 (point 13-17) £15,941-£17,372. Term time only ( pro-rata £13,418-£14,622 ) Full time, permanent*. Required from 1 st September 2015 development, and staff are encouraged to be inn This unique position allows a potential candidate to experience work in a busy and successful secondary school, and also to provide some variety in terms of the role. It would be ideal for someone who already works in schools, a potential future teacher wishing to gain experience in schools or someone new to schools with the required skills and attributes. For three days per week, the successful applicant will work within the Achievement Team to support a diverse range of student needs. For the remaining two days per week, you would be based in our specialist 4D immersive space. This is a bookable resource for teachers to use as a TV studio ( filming short broadcasts using a green screen facility ), the collection and return of sets of IPADs/laptops used in classrooms and the experience of our 4D space. The 4D space is an immersive experience where students can for example go back in time, or experience the sights and sounds of the rainforest, under the sea, inside the human heart or into the solar system. The role involves setting up equipment and working with teachers and small groups of students to access the technology. At times you will be working alone with groups of students, and this is a crucial aspect of the role in terms of responsibility. Full training on the equipment will be provided: all that we require is a willingness to use technology to enhance learning and an aptitude for creativity.
