Poverty in Pakistan Poverty is the lack of the basic human needs such as: a home and clean water. It is estimated that out of 40 million people who live below the poverty line, 30 million live in rural areas. Pakistan is a country with too many people and few resources. The import is greater than export. In fact, Pakistan imports even raw material.

What causes Poverty? Pakistan is a country where men and women are not equal. Normally men go to work while women stay at home to take care of their children. There is lack of education especially for girls.

What causes Poverty? Agriculture is the main job in Pakistan. Farmers work in their lands and supply food for their family which is often insufficient for all the family. Dishonest people: the rich become richer while the poor poorer.

Effects of Poverty Lack of cleanliness which causes a lot of diseases. Many babies and children are not given the medicine needed. Many people do not have a job. Children work instead of attending school.

Solutions to Eradicate Poverty Offer Education for all and end child labour. Men and women need to be treated equally. Women can work too and earn money for the family.

Solutions to Eradicate Poverty Lands need to be given fairly to farmers. A better wage needs to be given. Low taxes for poor people.
