9. What is the definition of Gerund ? A verb having “ing” form when does the function of a verb and a noun in a sentence is called a Gerund. It is the present participle form of verb. Note: Gerund mainly works as a noun and Participle works as a verb. Verb ing Gerund Teaching is a noble profession.
