The New Webster’s dictionary of the English language gives such a definition of a tattoo: “A tattoo is the act or practice of marking the skin with indelible patterns, pictures, or legends by making punctures in it and inserting pigments”.

Not long ago we realized that among our classmates and acquaintances there appeared some teens who marked their bodies with tattoos. So we decided to learn more about tattoos and to examine all pros and cons of this problem.

A brief history of tattoos The history of tattoo began over 5000 years ago. In 1991, a five-thousand- year-old tattooed man was discovered on a mountain between Austria and Italy. His skin bears 57 tattoos.

Conclusion It is difficult to define what prevails in having a tattoo - positive or negative sides. And in our work we came to a conclusion that it’s up to a person himself to decide to make a tattoo or not.

We understand that the desire to have a tattoo is a matter of time. With age our interests will change, we’ll be occupied with other affairs and our youth fads will stay only in our memory! Conclusion
