4 Theses Collection The university library has become a repository of printed theses 1968 - 2006

6 Problem Statement UABC does not have the necessary financial resources to undertake the digitization of Marine Science Faculty Theses

7 Problem Statement Inestimable value by local and national scientific community

8 Problem Statement There is a need to obtain funds for this endeavor, in order to preserve the collection for present and future generations.

9 Project Description Digitize, store, make available and preserve Marine Science Faculty theses. The information contained in this collection is all about research results on physical, chemical, geological and biological oceanography areas, developed in different areas of the country.

10 Goal UABC marine science theses collection is available on line as open access information for worldwide users.

11 Objectives Digitize the marine science faculty theses. Store digital documents in a standard format (PDF). Make them available for all interested users through a Web-based platform in the institutional website and OceanDocs repository.
