What is Year 11 Mentoring all about? YR 11 Students NEED YOU

The main aim is to give individual students a unique contact who will be with them throughout their exam preparation up until their last exam

Choosing a student Green students are generally students who are performing well academically and have shown no signs of needing extra support (as yet) These are confident student who just need a chat to make sure all is going well. Amber students are generally students who may be struggling in some subjects or are showing signs of anxiety leading up to the exams. They will need a meeting regularly to check how they are getting on.

Red Students These are the students who show us most concern either academically or emotionally. They struggle to motivate themselves, get lost in revision fog, have limited planning and organisational discipline. OR Are really conscientious put to much stress on themselves and are pan icing about the process.

What will the mentoring entail Meet regularly depending on your students colour Talk to them about their revision plan/timetable Discuss organisational techniques with them Home/work and school work balance Any deadlines that are left?? Set them revision targets. E.G to attend 2 revision sessions this week

What is in the pack 1.Mock results and tracking 2.Exam Timetable / calendar 3.Revision guide (can go through with students) 4.Questions to ask students 5.Activities to do 6.Some resources for revision 7.Target setting sheet 8. Stickers for the next mentor meeting (to go in planner)
