2. Kaplan’s New Library Kaplan recently opened its own library. In the past, Kaplan has used the University of Alabama-Huntsville’s library. This may be frustrating at first for those comfortable with the old library—we knew how to use it and now things have moved around!

9. Databases: Article search You will see an alphabetical list of databases available in the KU Library with brief descriptions about what they include. Academic Search Premier is the largest and a good general-use database covering many topics and publications. Some other databases are subject-specific (health, education, etc.)

ERIC (Educational Resource Information Center) Research questions: What are the current educational requirements for those teaching pre-K? Are there differences in qualifications for daycare workers and those teaching in preschools? Should requirements differ for those caring for 1 year olds versus 4 year olds? Would requiring an early childhood education degree improve the quality of care and better prepare children for kindergarten?
