Course Repeat Policy This policy applies to all undergraduate courses offered at UMES effective academic year 2016- 2017. Students may repeat courses offered at UMES one time without special permission. These include courses for which the student earned any grade (B,C,D,F,P, or W ). Grades of W, earned by withdrawing from a class after the ADD/DROP period are considered grades and are subject to this policy. Exceptions are those courses that may be repeated for credit. Students who wish to repeat a course a second time (third enrollment) must seek approval from the Department Chair or Dean of the School of the student’s major program The number of withdrawals from all courses throughout a student’s degree is limited to 16 credits. This policy will be effective in the Fall 2016 term. Students enrolled in courses will be allowed to repeat a course once without appeal, as per this policy. The total number of withdrawals from all courses will be grandfathered in beginning with the students entering in the Fall of 2016.
