Why? Greenhouse effect! It’s not new, but it’s different; more CO2! – It keeps Earth habitable (-18C vs 15C) The strongest greenhouse gas is water vapor, but CO2 is more important because of its longer residence time (years v days) So, there’s more CO2 in the atmosphere, but…

How do we determine if the CO2 is from biomass or fossil fuels, then?
