TA Responsibilities prior to FSA ◦ Monitor integrity and test security in room ◦ Follow procedural script ◦ Distribute admission tickets ◦ Communicate Test Code provided by Test Coordinator to students

FSA TA Responsibilities In addition to prior responsibilities: ◦ Create session and session ID the morning of testing ◦ Communicate session ID to students & SAC ◦ Approve/verify students to begin test session ◦ Monitor session AND individuals during session ◦ Troubleshoot as needed for your testing lab

What does this mean for TA? TA MUST be engaged and familiar with training materials, CBT manuals, and scripts ◦ Ask questions at each level of training ◦ Don’t wait until the last minute to review procedures ◦ Know where to find answers for unexpected troubleshooting TA MUST arrive early on test day ◦ The testing session cannot begin, continue, or end without the Test Administrator

Session ID: Students will need this to access the test session you have created. WRITE THIS DOWN

Write down the SESSION ID on the sheet provided Students can now request to begin the test session you’ve created by entering: ◦ Login info on ticket ◦ Session ID Now begins the TA approval process

Once students log in and type in SESSION ID, they will appear in approvals.

Students that you have approved will be listed here:

As students log in and enter SESSION ID, it is the TA’s responsibility to carefully approve them into the session.

You can approve students individually, BUT it is best to approve all at once for ease in verification and monitoring *Once you approve the student can begin the test You MUST make sure students are: Assigned the correct test All included in the session (use roster to verify) Not duplicated

The Secure Browser and Student Experience

Students must enter testing via the Secure Browser ◦ If other programs are running, it will not open ON TEST DAY: Students will log in using: ◦ Test Ticket ◦ Session ID provided by TA

After logging in, students will be asked to verify information

As long as the name is theirs, have students proceed If DOB is incorrect, or misspelling – note on the roster and report to SAC to make changes If the login leads them to a different identity (not them) contact the SAC immediately

Students will be given an option to change font size and screen/text color ◦ This is primarily for accommodations ◦ Please encourage students not to change settings Can’t be changed back within the test session

Go to Secure Browser Icon To Log in: ◦ Check “GUEST USER” to proceed without login ◦ Uncheck BOTTOM “Guest Session” box Remember that on test day, students will enter ticket information instead of enter as guests ◦ Enter Session ID provided by TA, click “Sign In”

Log in as a GUEST USER using the Session ID created by your trainer Choose appropriate test Observe different types ◦ Questions ◦ Navigation ◦ Tasks
