1. The magazine that I am going to be studying is Teen Vogue, a monthly magazine which is basically a Vogue magazine for teenage girls. This magazine focuses on fashion and celebrities and offers information about the latest entertainment and features stories on current issues and events.

About the Magazine The magazine is in fashion magazine which comes in a handbag size and it follows the basic tenets of teen magazines, although with a more glossy view which fits with the template of the Vogue style. The magazine also features more serious topics such as discussions about teenage depression and problems that they face. A wide range of celebrities appear on the covers such as Emma Watson, Nicki Minaj, Emma Stone, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber. It’s popular in around the world but mainly in the US and UK.

3. Target Readership The target readership for Teen Vogue is in the title- teenagers. It is directed at teenagers. The magazine specialises most in fashion and teenage lifestyles. The magazine resembles vogue in terms of the fashion aspect of it, featuring high fashion and newest trends. They feature young fun teenagers and the articles that are especially targeted at teenagers in terms of the language that they use and the issues that they write about. They also use celebrities and music that appeal to the target audience, for example they have featured twilight numerous times because of the popularity and the phenomenon that has come out of it.

8. House Style The magazine’s house style is kept the same through out. The text uses a neutral font but plenty of vibrant colours. The typography is sophisticated because Teen Vogue is a quite a prestigious magazine and would appeal to the audiences. The layout is simplistic and the images are placed in an orderly fashion.
