Secretariat for European Integration A new position of the Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration was established In Government of Republic of Montenegro in 2006, which not only assured continuous management of the process, but also formally strenghtened the importance of the European Integration process in the Government. In addition to this, the position of the National Coordinator for IPA fund management (NIPAC) was also strenghtened in the same way. Secretariat for European Integration (SEI), a new Institution in Montenegro, has been established, from the previous Ministry for International Economic Relations and European Integrations, in order to enhance European integration processes and coordination within the Government. SEI scope of work includes management of IPA, within its Sector for Coordination of Assistance and EU funds, which is in charge for coordination of process of programming, implementation and monitoring the EU financial assistance programs, coordination of cooperation of state authorities with the EU institutions, organs and bodies, its member states regarding foreign assistance and coordination of donor activities in Montenegro.
