climate-cryosphere.org apecs.is pyrn.org FrostByte construction guidelines Your work must be between 30-60 sec long Graphs should be visible ~ 8 sec Images should be visible ~ 2 sec Title-, acknowledgments-, workshop- and FrostByte credits – slide should be visible 4 sec each the “title”, “Workshop” and “FrostByte” slides (slides 2, 5 & 6 in this template) must be included in your FrostByte. However, for the “your Work” and “Acknowledgement” you can be creative. FrostBytes were originally developed for the IPY Montreal Conference in 2012 by Founding APECS Director, Jenny Baeseman.

climate-cryosphere.org apecs.is pyrn.org FrostByte construction guidelines Before submitting the frostbyte to the Frostbyte editor Confirm that the Frostbyte is maximum 1 min 16 sec long ( Title slide, Workshop, FrostByte credit and the optional Acknowledgment-slide each 4 seconds + 60 sec of your work) If you are using music make sure it is not copyrighted. Make sure that the FrostByte is a.mp4 file. If is more then 25MB then use a Cloud or File Sending service. Remember to add the Additional Required information in the mail together with your Frostbyte – Title of your FrostByte: – Your Name: – Current institution: – Keywords: – One or two sentences about the topic of your FrostByte: – Website address (if any): Send the finished frostbyte (until 05 June 2016) or questions to info@apecs.isinfo@apecs.is and (for ICOP2016) to jens.strauss@awi.dejens.strauss@awi.de
