Why health is important in the workplace Health in the workplace is performing in a manner that is both efficient and safe. This includes many things such as: Following the rules and regulations set forth by OSHA(occupational health and safety) and not looking for loop holes Avoiding situations where you are not in ergonomically advantageous positions Having the necessary bodies in the workplace to enforce rules and safety practices Avoiding situations in which a worker or pedestrian can be injured

Advice for Don First Scenario Don should ask Cal to contact OSHA to test the chemicals in the workplace. If Cal refuses to do so, then he should review his employment contract and decided whether or not to contact OHSA himself. If he decides to “blow the whistle” and call OSHA, he should definitely inform Cal that they have been contacted.
4
Who will blow the whistle? Actually several different individuals will have to take part in blowing the whistle. Don will blow the whistle to OSHA regarding his employers disregard of the rules in regulation The affected employees also will have to speak up on their conditions and their illness.

What the NSPE code of Ethics says According to rule #1. “ If an engineers’ judgment is overruled under circumstances that endanger life or property, they shall notify their employer or client and such other authority as may be appropriate. Don must protect his employees from potential chemical hazards because he has the knowledge the of the possible dangers of the chemicals. He the professional, they’re not!
6
Advice for Don Second Scenario Don should try to find the information outside of his job if it seems as though his employer doesn't want him to have it. He should also make sure he has enough evidence to prove that Cal intentionally neglected his request. Unfortunately his actions could result in him potentially losing his job due to violation his contract.
