Coverage One-day local level workshops 600 Gender workshops260 State Level Workshops 143 National School (Proposed) 80 (25 each from Haryana and Rajasthan. 15 each from Gujarat & Bihar)

Others Ongoing support to women leaders: Networks have been formed in all the states. Campaign on sanitation in Mahendergarh, Haryana (November). Overall extensive media coverage from three states (Haryana, Bihar, Rajasthan)

Others National Conducted one-day orientation for animators on sanitation and their roles and responsibilities. Conducted three meetings of all WPEL staff in Delhi for planning and reviewing of the project. Linkages of programme with study being done by UVIC Country paper along with WPC for VAWIP(violence against women in politics)

Others National Level Workshop Objective: To enhance leadership skills and self-confidence levels by providing national level exposure. To provide them platform to share experience and relate with the issues that women leaders have from other states. To enable them to voice their concerns and contest as elected leaders.

Quarter IV Plan Conduct five-day National School (6 th Feb –10 th Feb 2009) Network strengthening at local levels Process documentation of whole project and biography of selected women. Celebration of Women’s Day

Issues/Constraints - Existing gaps in Process Documentation which have been identified and are being addressed - Ongoing support to women leaders through the animators

Future Next phase for at least one year needed. Support to women who have reached various levels and to others who are new. Learnings of programme to be widely disseminated.

Others CB in participatory gender audit of organisation by ILO methodology. Gender Sensitisation workshop for PRIA staff in November. PRIA case study published in UNDP supported book of best practices on Gender Mainstreaming Gender sessions for TLM, TGIE, CII, VVGNLI, IGNOU. Session on Gender sensitive VAWIP Policy Environment, in SAP International Regional Conference.

Gender in Institutions Support to other projects: - Two orientations facilitated for WBCSSP in Malda and Jalpaiguri - Two orientations facilitated in Udaipur for PCE (Gender in Society Certificate course) - PECSA, URBAN New opportunities: -Developing interactive CD ROM for ILO to assess gender sensitivity of staff in organisations. -IOC, CMF

Issues/Constraints CSO training and Corporate training planned in August and November was cancelled as nominations received were less. No nominations available for gender audit of implementation partners (where no gender audit has been done till now). Planning of activities not revised after involvement of team members in other projects.

Gender in Institutions Future Plans for Qtr 4 Gender Audit as per ILO methodology of Unnati. Orientation for Corporate on 23rd and 24 th of February. Reflection note on one CDP through gender lens. Finalise project with WPC.

Reflections Recognition of Gender Unit is evident through the invitations for sessions and proposal requests(CMF,IOC). Corporate sector would provide more opportunities. Find funding opportunity, rather than spending PRIA grants.
