1. Independent Reading Project Project due the week of 12/13 (8 students present/day).

2. Objective Students will read a novel of their choice- the novel must be challenging, yet enjoyable for the student. Students will try to “sell” their novel to their classmates the week of 12/13

3. After reading your novel… You must complete two assignments!

4. Assignment #1: Sell your novel! Create a “pitch” of some sort that will “sell” your novel to your teacher and classmates. Don’t give away the ending! Get creative! A commercial, PowerPoint, whatever you think will make others want to read your book. You must have some type of presentation to “sell your book”.

5. Assignment #2: “Objectify” your novel! Produce a thought provoking symbol for one of your book’s main characters. Type a one page explanation for your symbol. Use 10 words creatively to describe the plot. Portray the lesson/theme. *All of this must be done on your symbol. SIGN UP: 8/day
