But I fear that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your minds may be seduced from a complete and pure devotion to Christ. (2 Corinthians 11:3)

A summary of 2 Corinthians 11:1-15 1-2I know you think I’m overly zealous, pushy, and overprotective, but even if you think I’m a fool, will you please just listen to me? I’m very concerned about your spiritual health and commitment to Christ. My goal has always been your spiritual health: I simply want to present you as a pure virgin to Christ.

A Summary of 2 Corinthians 11:1-15 3-4Just as the serpent deceived Eve, I fear that you are being seduced away from a complete and pure devotion to Christ. You so quickly believe whatever any preacher says. If they preach a different Jesus or a different Holy Spirit or a different Gospel, you immediately buy into it!

2 Corinthians 11:1-15 5-11I’ll stand up for myself: I’m not inferior to these “super- apostles” (false teachers). I may not be trained in public speaking, but I do have knowledge. And when I was with you, did I sin by preaching the Gospel to you free of charge? I even collected money from other churches so I wouldn’t be a burden to you. At least God knows I did this because I love you.

2 Corinthians 11:1-15 12-15I’m going to continue to push you to NOT follow these false teachers. They are frauds and deceivers who disguise themselves as “apostles of Christ.” Besides, since Satan disguises himself as an angel of light, it’s no surprise that his servants disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. And God will one day give them what they deserve.

23 By faith, after Moses was born, he was hidden by his parents for three months, because they saw that the child was beautiful, and they didn’t fear the king’s edict. 24 By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter 25 and chose to suffer with the people of God rather than to enjoy the short-lived pleasure of sin. 26 For he considered the reproach because of the Messiah to be greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, since his attention was on the reward. Hebrews 11:23-26
9
One of the reasons we are so easily seduced is because sin generally has a higher (though short-term) spike of attraction than following Christ. SinFollowing Christ

The reason Moses chose the better, harder road was because his attention was on the reward.
