Jobs description. Oil engineer is involved in the process of exctract oil and natural gas from reservoirs. Drill engineers. Production engineers. Reservoir engineers. Types of oil engineers:
4
Oil engineer work locations In the office: Create economic evaluations for oil. Develop bussines partnerships. Perfom financial analyses. Write project proposals, schedules and budgets. In the field: Perfom data and sampling analyses. Coordinate drill activities and safety procedures. Monitor regulation compliance.
5
Duties from this profession They must have desing equipment to extract oil and gas in the mast profitable way. They must develop ways to inject water, chemicals, gases, or steam into an oil reserve to force out more of the oil. They must develop plants to drill in oil and gas fields, and than to recover the oil and gas. An engineer of petroleum must make sure that wells, well testing, and well surveys are completed and evaluated.
6
They must use computer- controlled drilling of fracturing to connect a larger area of an oil and gas deposit to a single well. They must make sure that oil field equipment is installed, operated, and maintained properly They must monitor and coordinate drilling, reservoir, production and facilities engineering and safety activities. They must evaluate and recommend flow rate enhancement by use.
