It’s never to early to read to your child!

What research tells us: Studies show that reading a variety of literature independently by the age of 15 is the single biggest indicator of future success, outweighing negative factors such as socioeconomic background or family situation. Almost one-third (32.3%) of boys agree with the statement ‘I can’t find anything to read that interests me’.

Phonic Screening in Year 1 This was established 3 years ago to give teachers and parents information about how the child is progressing in phonics.
