2 Background of the Comp:
The name of Comp. Isiphiwo Trading, registered 2004 Owned 100% by a young black woman Comp. Empangeni 1c Perm.Build. Commercial Street, in Durban and East London. Company does Building Construction & Road Works. The Grading of the comp. Is 5GB & CE

3 Achievements: I’ve done lot of projects together with the D.O.W. My 1st project was for an amount of R180,000. I’ve completed projects for an amount of 2million from the D.O.W. Buiding Clinics. I’m currently busy with some other projects for the D.O.W. for R1,6 Million, Clinic Maintainance and Renovations. I have an 8million contract with Coega Development Projects in East London.

Lack of technical skills and Experience Lack of Project manangement and staff

5 Tips to emerging Contractors
Register your Company or Ck documents, Have a valid Tax Clearance Certificate. Be registered on the Provincial Data Base (ZNT) Register with (D.O.W.) Have a valid CIDB Certicate Have a valid letter of good standind from D.O.L. Work as a Team and Joint Venture your Company with higher grade Contractors for Experience and Uplifting. The Contractor must Buy and read newspapers e.g. Ilanga,Mercury,etc. Market yourself,Have Business Cards,Profile for your business, The contractor must be hands on site, Attend Site Inspections and Conferences,Have your own address and fax number. The contractor must acquire necessary skills e.g. Safety & health, Brick laying, etc

6 Cont: Financial Manangement
Pay your employees on time, Pay your financial institutions, Pay your suppliers on time. Avoid biting more than what you can chew. Don’t under quote, get yourself experienced Q.S. with good reputation to get good profit.. Quality of Work Make sure You do your best in quality Make sure you deliver because that’s the way to market your Company and CIDB because it based on the project and completion of work.
