1 Drawing Two Dimensional Shapes

2 Draw two congruent squares.
1 Congruent – same shape & size Square – a quadrilateral with 4 right angles & 4 congruent sides.

3 Draw a rhombus. Then draw another rhombus that is congruent to the first one.
2 Congruent – same shape & size Rhombus - a parallelogram with four congruent sides.

4 Draw a parallelogram with 4 right angles and 4 congruent sides.
3 Parallelogram - a quadrilateral in which both pairs of opposite sides are parallel Square – a quadrilateral with 4 right angles & 4 congruent sides. A square is also a parallelogram.

5 Draw three congruent rhombi that are connected to make one parallelogram.
4

6 Draw a rectangle. Label its four vertices A, B, C, and D so that segment AB is perpendicular to line segment BC. 5

7 You should have drawn a rectangle.
Draw a parallelogram with 4 right angles and 2 pair of congruent sides. (Not a square.) 6 You should have drawn a rectangle.

8 Draw two congruent rectangles that are connected to make one square.
7

9 Draw a triangle like this one
Draw a triangle like this one. Connect a congruent triangle to it so that you have a rectangle or square. 8

10 Draw a parallelogram. Label its four vertices A, B, C, and D so that segment AB is parallel to segment DC. 9

11 Draw the shape as if it was rotated clockwise.
10 Draw a triangle. Draw the shape as if it was rotated clockwise.

12 11 On the left side of the line, draw a quadrilateral with
Draw a vertical line in the box. On the left side of the line, draw a quadrilateral with no congruent sides. On the right, draw the shape as if it was reflected (flipped) across the line. 11 On the left side of the line, draw a quadrilateral with no congruent sides. On the right, draw the reflection of that figure.

13 Draw a horizontal between the top and bottom of the box.
12 Above the line, draw a triangle and rectangle. Below the line, draw the shapes as if they were translated (slid) across the line.
