2  Quadrilateral – closed geometric figure with four sides and four vertices.  Segments of a quadrilateral intersect only at their endpoints.

4  Quadrilaterals are named using their vertices in order.

5  Any two sides, vertices, or angles are either consecutive or nonconsecutive.  Segments that join nonconsecutive vertices or a quadrilateral are called diagonals.

6  Refer to quadrilateral DEFG.  A. Name all pairs of consecutive angles  B. Name all pairs of nonconsecutive vertices.  C. Name all pairs of consecutive sides.
