Quadrilateral – closed geometric figure with four sides and four vertices. Segments of a quadrilateral intersect only at their endpoints.

Quadrilaterals are named using their vertices in order.

Any two sides, vertices, or angles are either consecutive or nonconsecutive. Segments that join nonconsecutive vertices or a quadrilateral are called diagonals.

Refer to quadrilateral DEFG. A. Name all pairs of consecutive angles B. Name all pairs of nonconsecutive vertices. C. Name all pairs of consecutive sides.

The sum of the measures of the angles of a quadrilateral is 360 degrees. Ex. 2: Find the missing measure.
