5. Report Card Competencies The competency statements on the report cards are updated to reflect the language and content of the new TEKS.

6. Science Materials Purchasing consumables Non-consumables are campus materials… not grade specific materials.

7. Science Safety Goggles  60 pairs of goggles were ordered for each campus.  Will fit the faces of K-5 children  K-2 TEKS “_.1 Identify and demonstrate safe practices as described by the Texas Safety Standards during classroom and outdoor investigations, including wearing safety goggles, washing hands and using materials appropriately.  3-5 TEKS “_.4 Use safety equipment as appropriate including safety goggles and gloves.

8. Science Safety Goggle Sterilizer Cabinets  Cabinets were ordered for all campuses that do not already have one.

9. MSDS Binder The Material Safety Data Sheets Binder contains information about all materials that are considered chemicals that we use in science. As your campus orders new materials, be sure to update your MSDS binder

10. Science News For this school year, campuses will not receive any new textbook resources. Funding of new materials is pending the next state legislative session.
