2 Simulation Configuration LLS simulation defined by pilot comparison criterion in IEEE C802.16m-08/518 Appendix A Narrow band MMSE channel estimation –Per tile channel estimation –5 us window –Doppler window is flat with Doppler frequency matched to mobile speed 120km/h Interference Limited Simulation –Two neighboring BSs’s signals are the interference –INR =10dB –Full loading –X-axis is SINR (signal power over interference + noise ratio), Y-axis is Throughput (bit per subcarrier).

3 Pilot Boosting Pilot boosting values are defined as the pilot boosting power over average non-boosted power of data tones from each single stream. –For 2 streams MIMO, 5dB pilot boosting has a net gain of 2dB over combined data tones due to the null in one pilot stream.
