The Lord Jesus was born through a Jewish tribe. His Mother and Father were Jewish. God gave the Jewish people special promises, when Christ was on earth. When Jesus died and rose again, the disciples soon realized that God wanted all people from every tribe to hear the Gospel and believe.

DURING THE BIBLE DAYS. THE POPULATION OF THE EARTH HAD NOT SPREAD TO EVERY CORNER OF THE WORLD. GOD WOULD USE THOSE WHO BELIEVED ON HIS SON, TO CARRY THE MESSAGE OF THE GOSPEL EVERYWHERE FOR ALL PEOPLE!

ANY PERSON IN HISTORY PAST, (BEFORE JESUS CAME TO THE EARTH), WHO ACKNOWLEDGED THE ONE TRUE GOD AND FOLLOWED HIM, WOULD BE ACCEPTED.

HEBREWS 13:8

A LADY WHO WAS NOT FROM THE LORD JESUS’ TRIBE, CAME TO HIM. The woman had a daughter who was sick with a bad spirit. She wanted The Lord Jesus to heal her daughter from this spirit.

Jesus said, “Let the children be satisfied first, for it is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.”

WHAT DID HE MEAN?

Would you take away your little sister’s sandwich, while she was eating and give it to a dog?

THIS WAS A TEST OF HER FAITH. During this time, the Lord’s work was directed firstly to the people from his tribe. Would she listen to this truth and accept it?

She said, “Yes Lord, but even the dogs under the table feed on the children’s crumbs.”

SHE WAS WILLING TO TAKE HER PLACE BEFORE THE MASTER! She bowed to him in her heart.

Jesus said, “Because you have given me this answer go!” “The demon has gone out of your daughter.”

WHEN THE WOMAN WENT BACK HOME. SHE FOUND HER DAUGHTER WAS WELL! JESUS HEALED HER INSTANTLY. EVEN FROM A DISTANCE!

She was willing to take whatever he gave her. (even a crumb of his goodness) This story should speak to us about a few things. Do you know what they are?

We should not be: To think you are great, deserving of whatever you want.

We should be: FOR EVERY LITTLE THING!

1 Peter 5:5 says: GOD REFUSES TO ACCEPT THE PROUD BUT HE GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE. What does this mean?

This woman was not proud, she bowed down to the Lord and accepted the place that he gave her. She didn’t think she was better than others.

IT IS THE SAME WITH SALVATION. God cannot save, (forgive), anyone who thinks they are good. Jesus Christ came for who? People who know what they have done and who they are before God. Look up 1Tim. 1:15
