“Rebounding Neighborhoods” and/or “Gentrification”?

Gentrification = “The production of space for progressively more affluent users” (Hackworth, 2002) Changes in demographic composition and cultural life of a neighborhood The problem with gentrification is the displacement of poor and working class households.

“Positive gentrification ” is a misnomer. The goal should be development without displacement.
