Hypertension “The silent killer”, referred to as high blood pressure. To many adults have a BAD diet and this is 1 factor causing the BP to increase. How could high resting BP affect a clients workout? What are some ways to compensate for this issue with your client?

Stroke Ischemic- when the blood supply to the brain is cut off Hemorrhagic- when a blood vessel bursts in the brain Warning signs of a stroke… sudden numbness in the extremities, confusion, trouble seeing out of your eyes, walking problems, balance

Peripheral Vascular Disease Atherosclerotic lesions in 1 or more venous blood vessels Risk factors are smoking, hypertension, diabetes, inactivity Lacking blood flow to the muscles
