Faculty/Schools Consolidation Rationalisation of core operations –The Board advises UTM management team to merge academic programmes, research groups, Centres of Excellence (CoEs), faculties and Research Alliances (RAs) in collating overlapping objectives and operations, which would lead to greater resource optimization in the future. Resource Efficiency (from The Last Professors: The Corporate University and the Fate of the Humanities by Frank Donoghue) The modern university is becoming more and more like a corporation Faculties are to be managed for optimal efficiency, productivity and competitive advantage.
