The Empire after Chinggis Khan
Chinggis Khan’s successors extended Mongol rule into Persia, Russia, Iraq, and the rest of China This was the largest land empire the world has seen “Pax Mongolia” – people could trade safely from one end of the empire to the other along the Silk Road. NOTE: It was due to this ease of trade that the Black Death easily moved along the trade routes to Europe.
