2 Technology Influences Business  Technology refers to the tools and machines that people have invented to make life easier.  Ex: television, phone, cars, and computers.  Computers electronically store files, which saves time, labor, and space.  Accounting software helps organize, plan, and control business operations.  Film industry uses digital technology to edit film & enhance images.

3 The Impact of Telephones  Before the telephone, people had to communicate face to face or in writing, which could take several days.  The telephone makes it possible for people to communicate hundred of miles away.  Telephone companies sprang-up.  Manufacturers began producing phones & supplies.  Later, more efficient phones were produced. Ex: cordless phones, cell phones, radio telephones.  Aside from talking, you can send and receive emails and text messages, take photographs and view videos.
