4. 4 DESIGN APPROACH Minimal Software on Station Computer  90% on VID, remaining 10% on station device  Easily transportable to new configurations Device Software as Web Application  90% of application on VID, remaining 10% on device  Device application is an embedded, “locked down” web browser  Device application has hooks to DAD hardware Low-Level Commands to DAD  Use low-level commands (individual mode-PID calls) to DAD  Provides flexibility in control of inspection logic  Ensures conformity in vendor application
