13  Kentucky fortunate to date in terms of nursing shortage, only a matter of time  Beginning 2012 and by 2020 Kentucky will need additional 6,800 nurses  Kentucky has 12 BSN and 24 Associate Degree programs  Graduate 2 + associate degree nurses (1,371 graduated 2005) for 1 BSN (633 graduated)  Overall enrollments have grown  Highly competitive undergraduate and graduate market  UK nursing must differentiate itself
