8. FALL IN LOVE WITH READING: BOOK DRIVE  We will be collecting books to donate to a school in need. In the past we have donated books to Rothenberg Preparatory Academy in Cincinnati.  POINTS: If you bring in 1-5 books, you will get 1 point. If you bring in 5 or more books, you get 2 points.  Box in 401 MCG starting tomorrow, Thursday, October 16 th Put your books in a plastic bag and write your first and last name in sharpie on the bag.  The last day to donate books will be November 3 rd

9. CAREER SERVICES WORKSHOPS AND PANELS  Job Search Basics for Teacher Candidates Resumes and Cover Letters was on Oct. 6 Making Employer Contacts and Interviewing is Tuesday, Oct 21 at 5:30-7pm.  Alternative Careers for Education Majors THIS Thursday, Oct. 16 from 5:30-7pm.  You will receive 1 point for going to each meeting. Sign in on their sign up sheet when you get there and submit your points to the Google Form

SANDY HORMEL RECAP  Thank you those who participated in Sandy Hormel Book Celebration.  Please share about your experience  Feedback or any suggestions for next year?  If someone took your picture while you were presenting and you want that photo for a portfolio or something, please see me after the meeting and I can email it to you.

11. T-SHIRTS  Current members: You will receive an email about picking up your shirts when they are ready. We do not have a date yet for when they will be finished.  New members: when you are initiated and are considered an active member in the Spring, you will receive one of these shirts as well.
